The 2008 - 2009 season will be the second year that the Augsburg Men's Lacrosse team will be competing as an official, nationally recognized club team. The Auggies will again be a part of the Upper Midwest Lacrosse League (UMLL) and the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). We will compete in the UMLL Division 2 against NDSU, North Dakota, St. John's, Bethel, Eau Claire, St. Thomas, Moorhead & Carleton. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like any first year team, the Auggies had their growing pains this past season. After earning their first win in their first game, the Auggies went on a tough 0-9 slide for the remainder of the season, including two tough overtime losses. The squad returns much of its young talent and looks to build on the positive aspects of last season and intend on making some noise in the very difficult UMLL D2 which boasts two perennial national championship contenders.
